Canon Rebel XSI for a beginner?

I have one and I have no complaints. I'm an amateur like you. Fact is, the quality depends on the lens(es) you choose, not really the body (unless you're a pro with megabucks to chuck around). So I'd have no warnings to give you about the camera itself, as long as the sale is legit.
