Bokeh kit and Canon Rebel t3: How should I set my aperture?

I bought a bokeh kit and idk how to use it. I own a Canon Rebel t3 with a 18-55mm lense. My lowest aperture available is F3.5. I don't know how to make my pictures come out how they're supposed to. Help me please?
